We just went tonight and got the emperor special 19 course $128 and I paid attention to which courses were the 4 extra above the 15 course $78 shogun and in both my and my husband opinion it was good but we would just do the 15 course when we return! Of the 4 additional courses only 1 was really really good and the others were good but nothing special. However in the regular courses we had several amazing bites! The only thing that was not good was the shrimp, it was tender and a little sweet at first but had a weird bitter finish to it and we had to eat some extra pickled ginger just to get the bitter taste out of our mouth. We looked around and several others did the same. We will definitely go back!

It was my first time dining at this omakase restaurant, and the entire experience was exceptional. From the moment I arrived, the staff and the chef went above and beyond to make me feel welcome and comfortable. Every course was beautifully prepared, showcasing the freshness and balance of each ingredient. The service was seamless, the atmosphere intimate, and the food simply outstanding. A truly memorable evening that exceeded all expectations!!

Came here for my husband’s birthday and could not have been more pleased with the service and presentation of the food. It felt very intimate with just another couple seated nearby and the chef was very friendly. They were accommodating to my diet restrictions and made sure to separate everything. I really appreciated that they were more laid back and more approachable than some of the higher end sushi restaurants I’ve been to. Id love to come back again. Overall a great experience for me and my husband.

Had an amazing experience at Jak as my first omakase. Service was great, fish was very fresh and delicious, I did the 19 piece Emporer Omakase and so glad I went that route to get the full experience, so worth it. Highly recommend!!

My friend wanted to give this place a try after reading about it on Reddit and offered to treat. We ordered The Emperor (19 courses) for $128 each. It says that both dinner options (15-course and 19-course) are set for 90 minutes, but we and the couple who ordered the 15-course dinner finished exactly in one hour. That was the fastest 19-course omakase I’ve ever had. I would have preferred to have the full 90 minutes, as it felt overwhelming at one point because I hadn’t finished my crab handroll before the chef had already plated the next nigiri. For the price point and the amount you get, it is a good introduction to omakase for those who don’t want to spend $$$$.

This omakase sushi experience completely blew me away. Every piece was beautifully made, incredibly fresh, and full of flavor—it was clear the chef put real passion into each bite. Soy sauce was mixed in the rice. Wasabi was on top of every piece but you can ask to have extra wasabi side. The biggest surprise? The EEL. I usually don’t like eel at all, but this one changed my mind. It was soft, warm, perfectly seasoned, and melted in my mouth. Absolutely amazing. The A5 Wagyu was another standout—rich, buttery, and packed with flavor. Uni had a rich, creamy texture, cold and very unique. It was smooth in my mouth. The service was just as impressive. Our server was always there. The sparkling sake was delicious, and we even got to try a new sake. I strongly recommend sake over cocktails in the winter. It was my girlfriend’s birthday, and she got some extra treats and a little green tea cheesecake. It was such a wonderful spot to celebrate the night and make it extra special.

Second time dining here, this time to celebrate birthday. Although it was a little slower this time, the service itself was fantastic. Our server Blaire was very kind. She had prepared a little happy birthday sign and balloon at our bar table and a piece of cake at the end our omakase course. Food was great as well. We enjoyed everything we had. Highly recommend!

Chef Vel was an absolute gem! Super friendly and accommodated our requests. He was by himself tonight and was a superstar making sure that he kept up with the pace of a full seating. It was my birthday dinner and they knew how to make it special. The server we had was super attentive and friendly as well and I loved the freshness of all the food and drinks. For the price I felt like I got a great value for the money! I highly recommend the emperor omakase as you miss out on some amazing dishes with the shogun plan.
